Photographing birds and other nature is a privilege, not a right.

I practice and strongly advocate for ethical, or low impact, nature photography. Ethical nature photography abides by the principle: First, do no harm.

I strongly encourage everyone to read the article titled 'Liked to Death? The Social Media Race for Nature Photos Can Trash Ecosystems - or Trigger Rapid Extinction', which discusses a research paper authored by four scientists exploring social media's impact on nature and is essential reading for all: Link here.

The research paper, titled 'Liked to death: the impacts of social media and photography on biodiversity', has been widely cited and republished, reaching an audience of 232 million people globally (excluding social media mentions), highlighting the growing global concern regarding ethical nature photography.
